Higher Education

The Higher Education Group of the National Center for Global Engagement invests in a diverse cohort of high achieving students of color from all academic majors who are enrolled at Minority Serving Institutions across the nation. Students are funded to study abroad at some of the world’s leading international institutions based on their academic trajectory and professional ambitions. During their time abroad students will also complete a discipline specific service project in a developing nation. Upon successful completion of their semester abroad, students are placed in international internships with companies and organizations that align with their career objectives. NCGE’s investment covers all costs associated with the students’ semester and service project abroad and secures paid internship placements for the student. The following year, students are provided support to ensure that they have the necessary resources to achieve their post-graduate career goals. NCGE places all former students into a network of like-minded and equally driven peers with whom they will grow and assume positions of leadership with. Students are also required to mentor Bardoli Global Scholars during their college entrance preparation.
